Afrah is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She provides compassionate, trauma-informed counselling for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, depression, life transitions, grief, chronic pain, and relationship challenges in Victoria, BC, and online throughout the province.
Afrah believes that healing begins with feeling understood. She creates a safe, collaborative space where clients can explore their experience, reconnect with their strengths, and develop practical strategies for lasting change.

Particular Interests
Afrah has a particular interest in supporting immigrants and refugees, individuals living with chronic pain, and adults with ADHD. Her work with the Vancouver Island Counselling Centre for Immigrants and Refugees (VICCIR) and Pain BC’s Coaching for Health Program has deepened her understanding of the emotional, cultural, and practical challenges many people face. Drawing on both her professional experience and her own lived experience as an immigrant, she offers a compassionate, culturally responsive space where clients can feel understood and supported.

Afrah’s approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based therapies. She recognizes that every person’s experiences are shaped by their relationships, culture, values, and life history, and believes therapy should honour each client’s unique story. She works alongside clients to build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve resilience, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

Outside of the office Afrah enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, cooking, travelling, and creative hobbies like diamond art and DIY crafts. She values lifelong learning, creativity, nd maintaining balance outside of her professional life.
