Julie is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She supports adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, burnout, chronic pain, grief, caregiver burnout and major life transitions. She offers in-person counselling in Victoria, BC, and online throughout British Columbia.
Julie takes a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy. Her work is grounded in Somatic Experiencing, helping clients to understand how stress and trauma affect the nervous system while developing greater regulation, resilience, and self-compassion. Julie helps clients connect with their bodies, regain a sense of safety, and build lasting emotional well-being.

Julie’s approach to therapy is trauma-informed, compassionate, and grounded in nervous system regulation. She believes meaningful healing happens when we understand not only out thoughts and emotions, but also how our bodies respond to stress, trauma, and life’s challenges. Therapy is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique experiences, strengths and goals.
Depending on each client’s needs, Julie may draw from the following approaches:
- Somatic Experiencing – helping regulate the nervous system and gently process the effects of stress and trauma
- Polyvagal-Informed Therapy – understanding how the nervous system influences emotions, relationships and our sense of safety
- Response-Based Practice – recognizing people’s strengths and responses to adversity

Outside of the therapy room, Julie loves exploring, walking her dog, and photographing wildlife; especially orcas. She enjoys being outdoors, believes there is always something new to learn, and is passionate about lifelong learning, both personally and professionally.
